Load bc_2m_rivers.shp from the UDigData folder. Turn labelling on and select RIVERS_ID. No labels show up. Zoom in so that only a few rivers are shown. Suddenly one is labeled '0'. That's fine, they're all '0'. But it should label at the lower zoom levels. Changing the value of RIVERS_ID for one river will cause it to render at lowers zooms.
