Dear Tractus-X Dev Community, we are happy to announce to you that we have become part of Snyk’s open source program and therefore introduce you the new scanning solution for the Tractus-X community. For now we will begin with a trial phase in which we will slowly onboard selected members. In this phase we would like to have at least one responsible committer per project to respond to the contact details below to be invited into the Snyk project. For now the fixes will not be mandatory if suggested by Snyk, however, we would like you to take a look at the findings and evaluate them, especially if your project suffers from severe findings. For the mandatory phase we plan to evaluate the feasibility of the found issues by Snyk and your experience by selecting a few projects for feedback. If this feedback is positive, we will restructure the Snyk projects and also invite contributors with project specific access rights to join the Snyk dashboard. The retention period for your Snyk membership will have to be renewed per quarter to guarantee a clean offboarding process and remove unused accounts. The prolonging process will remind members upfront to extend their accounts. The exact process is currently work in progress, but will include a GitHub supported process or an email based one.
