Hi,
Several patches for this have been merged to master (see bug report). Relevant plug-in versions have their major version increased. For further development, please be aware to not change/remove APIs accidentally, because the Eclipse API
tool won’t warn you till the next release and baseline in June.
If you notice any problems, please let us know.
BR,
Bernd

Subject: Non-compliant mail – action required, contact dmarc@xxxxxxxxxxx : [tracecompass-dev] API clean-up for Trace Compass 5.0
Hi,
Trace Compass 5.0 major release for Eclipse 2019-06 is approaching slowly but surely. For the 5.0 release we plan to remove deprecated classes/APIs. Classes/APIs will be removed that were deprecated before the 4.0 release
for Photon (June 2018). I opened a bug report [1] to track the removal of deprecated classes/APIs in Trace Compass for the major 5.0 release. Any class/API removal need to reference this bug in the Gerrit patch.
The removal of deprecated APIs can start after the creation of the stable_4.3 branch after Trace Compass 4.3 RC1 (for Eclipse 2019-03) on Friday, March 8, 2019. Please use the master branch for that.
If there are any issues with any removal of a specific class/API, please document it in this bug so that appropriate actions can be discussed and agreed on.
Best Regards
Bernd
