For those who don't already know, we use and have been using the IRC
channel #tracecompass on OFTC. No accounts required! Feel free to join!
You will have a hard time getting me out of my mosh + tmux + irssi setup ;)

I created a Trace Compass channel in case you want to test it out, just head to
https://mattermost-test.eclipse.org
You might want to point out that this server is not using the main
Eclipse LDAP, so you should *not* try to login with your standard
Eclipse login. That will not work, and will incidentally transmit your
Eclipse login to the admins of that server. You have to create a new
account.
