Did you ever get any discussion on this? I don't see it on this list, if you did.
But, +1 from me. Sounds appropriate to be a "works with".
(Typically, unless things have changed, a "works with CQ" is opened which would document the votes and discussion -- but no need to do that if it is not needed -- I'm just saying how things used to be.)

It has a dependency on bash-language-server (https://github.com/mads-hartmann/bash-language-server) for full editor experience (autocomplete, outline and etc.) but the project is usable without it too as syntax highlighting and auto closing brackets and etc. are implemented on top of TM4E so works even when bash-language-server is not there.
That's why it's a "works with" dependency IMHO.
