Re: [tools-leads] Welcome Tools Project Leads

Hi,

I'm Andy Clement, after working at IBM for a number of years I'm now
at SpringSource. I look after the AJDT/AspectJ projects (and have
done for a long while now). AspectJ interest has recently picked up
due to being exploited in tools like Spring Insight (
http://blog.springsource.com/2009/10/21/introducing-tc-server-developer-edition-with-spring-insight/
) and Spring Roo ( http://www.springsource.org/roo ).

On a related-to-eclipse note, I'm also responsible for the
architecture of the new Groovy-Eclipse plugin that integrates the
Eclipse Java compiler and the Groovy Compiler at a very low level in
order to provide a great Groovy experience in Eclipse. (
http://blog.springsource.com/2009/07/30/a-groovier-eclipse-experience/
). This year I'll probably be looking to build a 3 way compiler that
builds AspectJ/Groovy/Java but right now my brain hurts when I think
about starting that piece of work :)

cheers,
Andy
