Hi Elemer,
I downloaded Titan
6.2.0 binary for 64 bit RedHat 7 from
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.titan/downloads
and following the instructions given in the file which is attached with this mail. Refer Section 5 in the document attached.
Thanks and Regards,
Rohit Japagal
you should not need any license.
Why you think you need one?
Where's your binary from?

Hi Elemer,
I need license file and I cannot access https://ericoll.internal.ericsson.com/sites/Titan/Pages/TitanLicenses.aspx
to request for a license. Is there any alternative way to get the license file?
Thanks and Regards,
Rohit Japagal
Hi Elemer,
That’s helpful info. I will try it out and let you know.
Thanks,

Hi Rohit,
A new piece of information:
It appear sthat Titan binaries for RedHat X are binary compatible with Centos X.
So please try to use a RedHat 7 package; let me know the result.
Best regards

Hi Rohit,
We build binaries for a number of platforms only , although Titan has been built successfully on any Linux or Unix flavor we have encountered.
For platforms not present on our list , your best bet is to build Titan from source code, see
https://github.com/eclipse/titan.core
https://github.com/eclipse/titan.core/blob/master/README.linux
specifically; the content has to be interpreted and adapted for the platform in discussion.
You have some chance in installing a Titan built for a similar platform, however this _is_not_the_recommended_course_of_action, as
It may lead to unexpected errors.
Anyways you have to make sure that the compiler (gcc or clang) version on the target platform (in our case Centos 7)
Is the same as the one the binary has been built with (gcc 4.8.2 for RH 7, gcc 4.4 for RH 6);
Else you have to install the appropriate version and use that for compiling with Tita.
If you opt for this, please run all function and regression tests available , see README.linux to make sure your binary performs as expected.
Best regards
Elemer
Hi Elemer,
I was installing eclipse titan binary but since i am using CentOS-7 and there is no specific binary for that, so i need a clarity on what i should be installing
Titan 6.2.0 binary for 64 bit RedHat 7 or
Titan 6.2.0 binary for 64 bit RedHat 6 or some other binary? Please let me know which one would be compatible for me.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Elemer,
Thanks for the info.

Hi Rohit,
It should be possible;
Please follow the instructions in
https://github.com/eclipse/titan.core
README.linux to compile Titan from source code on CentOS.
There are some libraries to be installed; instructions are given for Ubuntu only , please translate them into CentOS equivalents.
If you run into problems , please let us know.
Best regards
Elemer
Hi All,
Can I install Eclipse titan on CentOS?
