Re: [sumo-user] question about random trip generator

Hi,

if you use randomTrips.py for your purpose, you may have already seen the options for intermodal traffic (taking public transport). Still persons may prefer walking because it might be faster. You cannot force a certain mode sequence in randomTrips.py but just allow the use of public transport. In order to actually get more bus rides, you could increase the minimum travel distance and provide more bus service...

Best regards

Mirko

Hi,
I am doing research regarding trajectory data, and I would like to test a simulation scenario in which I can create random trips of individual persons, which uses buses as public transport.
generally speaking a walk ride walk scenario.
But the problem is I get most of the trips just including only walking and not the ride. So how can I generate trips that I can specify as walk-ride (bus) - walk for all of the trips?
 thank you.
