Re: [sumo-user] Fixed number of vehicles per hour but distributed

Hi Andreas,

here you can find the options on how to define the flow rate. If you use one of the options "number" or "vehsPerHour", they will be equally spaced. Now if you have one flow per origin-destination pair (do I get that right?) and start all flows at the same time, several vehicles of different flows will queue behind each other at the origin edge. Please try one of the random insertion options "probability" or "period". You can delay some of the flow begin times as well to avoid queues.

Best regards

Mirko

Hello,

I have a network like this given:
image.png

I defined flows for each pair of outer junctions which is 10 vehicles per hour. (Each junction has flows to each other junction).
Unfortunately, these vehicles are started all at once, which is very unrealistic:

Is it somehow possible to distribute these flows over the running time?

Thanks and kind regards
Andreas
