Re: [sumo-user] Actuated traffic signal vs delay based traffic signal

Hi Amir,

you can find an overview of the different TL types in SUMO in the documentation. Basic actuated control is based on time gaps of vehicles approaching the traffic light. Delay-based control looks at how long vehicles wait already close to the stop line. Then there are more things you can do with actuated control like custom switching rules...

Best regards

Mirko

Hello everyone,

I have a question about traffic signal control. In SUMO, I noticed that there are both activated traffic signals and delay-based traffic signals. Could someone explain the main differences between these two types of traffic signals?

Best regards,
Amir
