Re: [sumo-user] Leader bug in junctions in SUMO 1.6.0 (and 1.8.0)

Hello,
The latest development version fixes at least one zipper-merge related bug (https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Downloads.php#sumo_-_latest_development_version).
It would be great if you could try out that version and see if the problem still occurs.
If so, please provide input files for reproducing the problem.
regards,
Jakob

Hi,

I believe there is a bug in leader detection in lane-merge junctions.

In the attached image, we see an ego-vehicle in the middle of a lane-merge junction, whose previous leader suddenly stopped being its leader after this previous leader exited this junction. Instead, the ego-vehicle's current leader is a vehicle that has just entered the junction in a neighboring lane, *behind* the ego-vehicle (in fact, behind a few vehicles that are behind the ego-vehicle).

Is there a fix/workaround to this issue?

Thanks,

Daniel
