The problem of all vehicles changing their route to the same (apparently) fastest route at the same time should disappear when increasing the value of device.rerouting.period .
Each vehicle counts down this period depending on their insertion time and this will lead to staggered rerouting.

I would like to ask for some information on how to set up a simulation of a queue at a highway tollbooth. Currently the model consists of a 4-lane road that splits into 4 one-lane roads (with very low speed limit to simulate the tollbooth barrier). The presence on all vehicles of a rerouting device and a rerouting period of 1 s were also set. However, the behaviour of the queue is unnatural: the vehicles do not spread equally over all 4 lanes, they all change lanes at the same time and traffic jams are created due to opposite lane changes.
Thank you for any suggestions on how to better model the problem.
