There is no ready-made solution so you will probably have to do some programming.

Is there a way to automate SUMO simulation to iteratively run with different values of parameters for optimization purposes?

Optimizer suggests parameter values > SUMO (traci) run it > send it back to optimizer  (and repeat the optimization process).
