Re: [sumo-user] Car behavior when implementing a bicycle box

I consider the approach with a one-lane bicycle box somewhat obsolete.
A "modern" model can be found in tests/sublane_model/junction/bicycle_box/lane_choice (https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Tutorials.html#using_examples_from_the_test_suite)

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the behavior of the cars when modeling a junction with a bicycle box  as shown in the paper “Modelling Bicycle Infrastructure in SUMO” (Link: https://easychair.org/publications/paper/XLjS).

Since the two lanes have only the connection to the bicycle box the cars approaching from the south does not align in the lane suiting for the direction they are heading to.
Because of this the situation is quite messy and collisions occur.

Is there a way to tell the cars which lane they have to take in Netedit itself without forcing it with TraCI?

Regards
Lukas
