[sumo-user] OSM vs. SUMO Edges within Junctions

Hello,

In the OSM Data Model there are usually ways (or parts of ways) from the “beginning” of an intersection/junction to the “middle” of the intersection (as visualized in the picture below with the red line).

Is there something similar in SUMO?

Is an internal edge the same as the red line or are internal edges the whole connection from one edge at the “beginning” of the junction to an edge at the “end” of the junction (as visualized in the picture below with the green line) or even something else?

If internal edges are not the same as connections within a junction, is it possible to visualize them in NETEDIT?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Benedikt
