The src release alone won't do anything.

If you are on windows, you can download the pre-compiled executables (https://sumo.dlr.de/daily/sumo-win64-git.zip)

and on Linux/Mac you need to build sumo from the src files as explained here: https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Developer/Main.html#build_instructions

I am trying to update my current version of SUMO to the latest nightly snapshots. 

I downloaded the zip file (https://sumo.dlr.de/daily/sumo-src-git.zip ) and added the unzipped folder directory to my path as well as SUMO Home.

However, it is still unable to find the newly updated function 'getSecureGap'.

Do I need to remove the old pathways and SUMO Home directory and only have the new one?

Or could I be missing any other steps?
