Hello,
SUMO distinguishes between the geometrical length (the length of the shape) and the given length (the user-defined length value).
The GUI will always render the geometrical length. Vehicles will drive according to the logical length and their positions will be interpolated in the GUI.
Using gui-settings you can set the edge-coloring mode according to the quotient of geometrical length and given length.

Hi all,

As shown below, I have a grid network where every link looks the same in GUI. But indeed I edited the net.xml file to assign different lengths for each edge. My question is, does SUMO show the actual length of edge in GUI? Or my setting to edge length is not successful?

As we can see from those figures, they look like the same but I expcted them to be not.
