Most likely, the updated routeTypes.xsd is not being used because the SUMO_HOME variable points to a different file (SUMO_HOME/data/xsd/routeTypes.xsd). You can either fix this or run sumo with option --xml-validation-never. See https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/FAQ.html#whats_the_deal_with_schema_resolution_warnings_xsd_errors

When  trying to change the value o f "stepping"="0.25" or any other values in the IDM and  IDMM Car-following models, I got an error message:

Loading configuration... done.
Loading net-file from '00_case17_03_input.net.xml'... done (9ms).
Loading additional-files from 'e3_detector_All_Area.xml'... done (15ms).
Loading done.
Error: Invalid Car-Following-Model Attribute stepping. Cannot be parsed to int
Quitting (on error).

Please note that I am using:  Simulation version v1_3_1+0518-618d6833cc

In addition, I tried to use the online version of :

and got the same error.
