Re: [sumo-user] IDM, IDMM and Wiedemann CF models

IDMM uses a memory of prior speeds to adapt the desired time headway (see https://www.researchgate.net/publication/8952918_Memory_effects_in_microscopic_traffic_models_and_wide_scattering_in_flow-density_data) whereas IDM does not.
The Wiedemann Parameters
- security (0.5)
- estimation (0.5)
The model also obeys the parameters: accel, decel (only when stopping at a fixed position) and emergencyDecel.

Jakob

Hi Jakob,

There are two IDM car-following models (IDM and IDMM). Could you please let me know what are the differences between them and what are their default parameter values. I cannot find anything regarding the IDMM model in:  https://github.com/eclipse/sumo/tree/master/src/microsim/cfmodels

I will appreciate as well if you can provide me with the default parameters for the Wiedemann (3-parameters) car-following model.

Regards,
