Re: [sumo-user] Sumo --random option

There are actually multiple random number generates working within a SUMO simulation. When using --seed they all use the given seed but when using --random they may all get different seeds due to timing effects. This means there is currently no way to reproduce a simulation that was started with option --random.

All,

This page on the SUMO wiki says " When using the option --random the seed will be chosen based on the current system time resulting in truly random behavior." What I want to know is if SUMO outputs what seed it decided on somewhere. If not, I think it's possible to simply generate a seed and feed it to SUMO manually, but if SUMO tells you what seed it was using somehow, that might be more convenient.

Thanks,
