Subject: Re: [sumo-user] Clarification on --lanechange.duration
There are 3 base models for how lane changing works
1) instant (default)
2) simple (there is a duration but there is still at most 1 vehicle per lane)
so if you enable the simple model you are not losing with regard to the default which is even simpler.
regards,
Jakob
Hello,
I was wondering what the current state of non-instant lane-changes are? If I use --lanechange-duration am I losing other properties of the lane-changing model (documentaton says something about enabling a simpler model)? Lane changes are the major cause of
congestion in the area I am modeling so I would really like to get this right.
BR,
Fredrik
