Sparkplug version 4: The Road Ahead
Sparkplug version 3.0, the first version published under the Eclipse Foundation, was ratified in November 2022. Since then, the Sparkplug project team has worked hard on the next version. Given the scope of the changes they envision, they decided its version number would be 4.0.
In this presentation, Travis Cox and Wes Johnson will describe the features that will go into Sparkplug version 4. They will also describe the updated "Sparkplug C" payload format. They will also share the tentative calendar for the release and explain how you can contribute.
Join us to learn more about how the best protocol for industrial automation is about to get better!
