Re: R: [soa-iwg] IWG media launch on April 22
|
Scott,
the working group is open to the extent that the Eclipse Industry Working Group Process allows for. If you feel that this process is in any way flawed with respect to openness, then you'd better direct your concerns to the Eclipse Board. The SOA IWG does not have the authority to change a process that not only governs its own operation, but also the operation of other IWGs such as Pulsar.
Frankly, I don't see your point. We welcome your participation as an individual, but the IWG can't consider Composent, Inc. as a participant as long as Composent, Inc. is not an Eclipse member company. What's so terribly wrong with that?
If you ask me for my personal view, I feel it's perfectly fine for the Foundation to ask organizations that intend to leverage the IWG for marketing, extended market exposure etc. to give something back by becoming an Eclipse member.
Cheers,
Oliver
