[servlet-dev] Announcing new in-progress Servlet implementation

Hi,

Just to announce to this group, we've started a brand new Servlet implementation as part of the Piranha project, see https://github.com/piranhacloud/piranha/tree/master/servlet

It's currently very much a work in progress, and it will be some time before we can achieve full Servlet compatibility, but we're already quite far. For example we're able to run all the Servlet samples from https://github.com/javaee-samples/javaee7-samples and all the JASPIC samples for the Servlet Container Profile from https://github.com/javaee-samples/javaee7-samples/tree/master/jaspic

To the best of my knowledge there aren't many brand new Servlet implementations started these days, so hopefully Piranha can contribute to the overal health of the Servlet project.
