Re: [science-iwg] Stickers!

Cool, thanks.

Most of you including Bitreactive are also more on the Java side

Given a rather bad performance
http://marchdvd.com/?p=225&cpage=1
and scalability
http://lonewolfer.wordpress.com/2014/03/13/benchmarking-hash-table-implementations-in-different-languages/
of "toy" languages like Lua, also backed by a rather low popularity (even beyond the rather similar Basic)
http://www.emilmont.net/doku.php?id=software_engineering:languages

we're glad to have a few people here and in the IoT WG who prefer languages like Java or C/C++ for both Embedded and wider use cases like a Distributed Sensor Web, quite common  in scientific environments (only some demos meant for nothing more than EclipseCon or a similar conference would try to convince you otherwise;-)

Enjoy EclipseCon despite the maybe different practical usefulness of some sessions and speakers compared to others and looking forward to seeing you at a DemoCamp soon,

Werner

Yes. Hi Jay!

Werner, I'll make sure we bring some stickers back to Norway for the DemoCamp. Any dinner plans Jay?
