Re: [science-iwg] Logo contest

Hi Andrew,

Here are my favorites, in numeric order:
#3
#44
#52
#70
#105 (tiny, but if scaled, seems nice, too)

Several others would be nice, but are to close to either LTS, LocationTech or other WG symbols and artwork.

I like #105 too. Maybe they should spell S with the picture? (hacked example attached) Or is that too obvious?

Baha, Matt

If you would, please simply list the numbers you like. I'll rate them well and provide the artist positive feedback.

Philip, thanks for the list... FWIW, I'm with you on those. I like them too.

Hi Andrew,
After having signed up, I still can't vote nor select a logo I like (no like button can be seen on the logo).

Well, that escalated quickly! 109 designs and counting.

For my taste, there's already a handful of good ones. Mind you, there are many not so great too but that's how these contests work.

Update on this... we have 40 designs already.

For what it's worth, Science will use the eclipse.org forge, so we'll add eclipse.org to the design similar to the LTS logo<http://lts.eclipse.org/> & IoT logo<http://iot.eclipse.org/>.

Feel free to provide feedback on the designs you like either on or off-list. Providing feedback in batches for each person is appreciated since it is easier for me to process than picking through a large number of emails.

What I'll do is help us to narrow things down to a short list of the best logos and work towards a vote. More soon.

Hi Everyone,

If this URL works as expected, it should take you to our Logo design contest<https://99designs.ca/logo-design/contests/create-logo-eclipse-foundation-science-working-group-361081>.

And if all goes as planned, late next week we'll have a logo for the Science working group.

Cheers!

Andrew

p.s. We'll have a web site soon too, please see Bug 427027<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=427027> to track progress.
