The second technology that we use is VisIt (www.llnl.gov/visit), for the static 3d images. We are in the process of developing a prototype in collaboration with the VisIt team that enables full interactivity in 3d for VisIt plus. It is working well enough so far and hopefully it will be done in a few months. We are building new SWT widgets and we plan to contribute them to Nebula or some other project so that everyone else can use them too.

We have two different types of 3d technology in NiCE.
We use JME3 for creating 3d geometries (see one of our older YouTube videos).

I wanted to share a link to our latest YouTube video showing some support we have added for simulations of Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactors.

I also wanted to let you know that ORNL just joined the Eclipse Foundation! We are very thrilled to be in the Foundation and we are looking forward to submitting our first Eclipse project proposal soon (related to the project in the video, NiCE, of course).
