Re: [scada-dev] General questions about the Eclipse NeoSCADA

Hello Eugene,

1.) This depends on your setup. If you put everything on one node, then
it is the maximum number of TCP clients your resources can handle. I am
not aware of any limit at the moment. If you start to split up processes
to different nodes, then you can handle even more of course. If course
this also depends on which protocols you want to use, which types of
connections, etc..

2.) No. It is not a file transfer application.

3.) Currently there is no Web UI only a rich client

4.) Using a rule based system which can be configured during runtime and
make decisions based on JavaScript logic and XMLSIG validation

5.) By creating "VI" models, which are a mixture of XML files and
JavaScript update logic. There is a structural editor for those XML
files and a preview. In addition there are form based dialogs which can
also be created by using a set of pre-defined form elements using XML files.

6.) Not right now, as it seems. I just did check the "scada.eclipse.org"
instance. But it is down. I don't know why, but I will dig into this.
The "openscada" server is decommissioned and I did remove the link from
the wiki.

Best regards

Jens Reimann
