Just to be clear, I suspect that Ian is not in a
position to craft these 50-100 word blurbs and capture the true
essence of the various projects and their use of/benefit from
OSGi. The project teams are in the best position to do that with
guidance from the message from the OSGi Alliance. Having done so,
teams can also select their key "product" landing page and send
the blurb, url and an indication of the icon/image to use to Ian
for the final submission. Feel free to post the info here as
well. It may help others get started and foster some consistent
messaging.

I'd like to include
Virgo. VMware is an OSGi member if that's an essential
factor. I think the content could be pulled from the
Virgo home page although it would probably benefit from
an edit to repurpose it.

If any of the

can coordinate our response but I will need the
content from the projects.

Dear OSGi Alliance
Member,
The OSGi Alliance would like to showcase your
OSGi product on its web site. The OSGi Product
Spotlight program will randomly showcase
selected member products on its home page to
demonstrate the widespread deployment of OSGi
technology in diverse markets. It is also an
opportunity to highlight your product for the
OSGi community.
Showcased products will be linked to a
dedicated page on the Alliance site, which
will include your brief product description
and a link to your product’s web page.
The program is limited to Alliance members.
Please review the attached OSGi Product
Spotlight Guidelines to determine if your
product qualifies for submission. Members may
feature up to 15 eligible products in the
program.
The initial submission deadline is May 3,
2011.
The Alliance will also create a separate
product listing of submitted OSGi products for
its web site to further illustrate the breadth
of OSGi deployment. This list can include
members’ customer and partner products that
feature “OSGi technology inside,” as well as
member products that exceed the 15-product
maximum or products that do not promote OSGi
technology explicitly. The product listing
will not include product descriptions. Only
member product listings can be hyperlinked to
member product pages.
Please participate in this exciting
opportunity to demonstrate your work with OSGi
technology.
Sincerely,
Susan Schwarze
Vice President, Marketing
OSGi Alliance
