[rdf4j-dev] shoutouts to contributors?

I just sent out the release announcements, and I realize that we are always fairly bland and "invisible", not really mentioning any people or companies that have made contributions.

Would it be a good idea for future releases to start naming contributors, as a sort of public nod of recognition and appreciation? If so, any thoughts on what form this should take? Part of the announcement, or perhaps in the release notes? Just as a list of names, or more specifically saying "John Doe built feature X and fixed bug Y"? Do we want affiliations mentioned?
