thanks,
Yes , I am using remote log in to my desktop, on which I log
in to the MPI cluster system by ssh + cygwin (X11
forward).
Do I need to install PTP on my desktop , on the cluster head
node or in a directory of a server, which has been mapped
to the MPI cluster system ?
I prefer the last one because the cluster system is shared by
many people and if it is in maintance, I cannot access to it
to use PTP.
And, how many parallel processes can I debug in PTP at the
same time ?
Is PTP totally free and open source ?
Any help is appreciated.

Jack,
The most recent version of PTP (4.0.3) should work the best.
Are you using a 'remote' system (eclipse on e.g. your
workstation/laptop, talking to a remote cluster for example on
another machine?)
The easiest setup uses PTP's "Remote Tools" which launches
automatically on the remote machine running as the user, and
does not require root access.
