[ptp-user] Trouble installing PTP Support for MPICH2 in Eclipse
|
Hello,
I apologise in advance if this not the correct list for my question.
I would like to use PTP to debug an MPICH project. However, when I try
to install the MPICH2 support from the update site
(http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/releases/2.0) I get the following
error in a pop-up window:
=======================================================================
'Install' has encountered a problem.
An error occurred during provisioning.
An error occurred during provisioning.
Failed to prepare partial IU: [R]org.eclipse.ptp.rm.mpich2.proxy
2.0.0.200806061515.
=======================================================================
I am running Eclipse (Ganymede) under RH Enterprise Linux 5. I have CDT
v5.0.1 and Photran v4.0.4 already installed. My Java version is:
java version "1.6.0_04"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_04-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode)
All the other PTP plugins (OpenMPI support etc.) install without
problem. I have mpich2-1.0.6p1 installed and its bin directory included
in the PATH variable.
Is there anything else I need to configure for the installation to work?
Also, does the presence of openMPI affect the MPICH2 support
installation? I have tried to install MPICH2 support both before and
after having installed openMPI on my system, and in both cases I got the
above error
Any help would be much appreciated,
Steven Morrow
