Re: [ptp-user] Debugging problems and console output
|
Hi Mark,
The output for your parallel processes can be found in the PTP Runtime
Perspective. On the left are icons for each process under a job on a
machine. Double click on a process icon to view some information about
the process, as well as the output terminal associated to that process.
As for the multiple windows about connecting to the server, I only get
one message and it works if Eclipse can access the ptp.orte.proxy.server
binary somehow in the environment. I have not encountered the one
message for process yet.

I just set up ptp and eclipse but I am having a few problems.
1) When I run a parallel job, while I see the output on my terminal
window, I do not see the output anywhere in Eclipse(for example in the
eclipse console window). Is this normal? The output of my program is
all intermixed with various outputs from eclipse in the terminal
window so it is hard to see.
2) When I try and run a parallel debugging session, it starts with
abunch of windows flashing through saying...
Starting the debugger, Connecting to proxy server...
It does this for each of the processes. However, it seems always on
the last process lock up at this window. When I then hit "cancel" it says
"Exception occurred during launch" "Reason: Session is not connected"
Below is the log of the terminal output before I hit "cancel" and
after I waited a minute at the "Connecting to proxy server..." message

after I hit cancel I get the following...

accept thread exiting...
Any help would be appreciated, Ive tried reading all the help and I
still am stuck. I believe everything should be set up correctly for
both of the above problems.
