Re: [ptp-dev] Fw: Indigo SR1 RC3 EPP build - test Parallel package

Greg,

This is where I was able to get – starting over with new resource managers, runtime configs –

a)      Verified that pbs-generic batch works correctly (I had put the state machine into a confused state, I think, previously this morning).

b)      First submission of pbs-generic-interactive is OK, but, every time I rerun it now it throws a null pointer exception – while correctly rerunning the executable.  This is by using the big green triangle to “rerun” –

Greg,

Testing results:

Remote projects – setup and build OK

OPenMPI resource manager OK

Pbs-generic-batch – monitoring is having some issues.  I’m going to try again.

Pbs-generic-interactive

Sync projects

Jay,

I've hopefully fixed this problem. I've also made some other changes to support debugging. Can you please test to make sure that everything is working ok?

You should just update (or install as update may not work) the EPP you already have from the SR1 repository: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/updates/indigo_sr1

Thanks,

Greg

Windows 7, using 64 bit build, testing against Lincoln.ncsa.uiuc.edu

pbs-generic-interactive – will not work with specifying account, need to indicate default account on machine (at command line) and then leave account line blank – and then works ok (one can specify the account on the pbs-generic-batch)

sync projects – setup and build OK

verified that the resulting executable worked with same above 3 resource managers

Very brief smoke test, it looks ok on mac64.
I created local and remote projects and did some simple analysis.
Did not try to run, or debug, or do sync project.
Please test!

I'm out on vacation

This is the first package build that has an updated CDT 8.0.1 build in it.  Download it from the following:

  http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/indigo/download/20110909-0633/

PLEASE can folks test on other platforms soon, like today please?

Report back here which platforms you have tested.
Sorry for the short turnaround but any problems we find - we only have one more cycle (next week's RC4) to fix them,.

Hi all,

it is Friday and again time to test the packages...
As long as there is no rebuild of the maintenance repository, the following build will be released as "RC3":

  http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/indigo/download/20110909-0633/

Please test and send your votes...

Thanks and happy testing,
