I doubt they are related. The Eclipse problem is an only an issue if you have more than 1024 bundles (plugins), so it looks like you're seeing something else. The JVM shouldn't be crashing.

Due to a bad bug (related to too many file handles) https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349105
they are respinning Indigo, the common repository, and the EPP packages.
This will get our I201106140904 which has some important recent bug fixes.
Stay tuned.
It may be named RC5.

Don't forget PTP Monthly developer's call at 1pm ET.
