Re: [ptp-dev] Vote for Committer status for Max Billingsley III was started by Beth Tibbitts

I also forgot to mention that Max has plans for remote-enabling PPW use and has discussed helping Wyatt with ETFw remote-enablement as well... as a pre-requisite for the PPW remote work.
He also has ideas for further UPC analysis tools... which I would strongly encourage him to continue with! :-)

The list of bugs that Max has contributed to is listed below.
While the actual number is lower than I expected when I did the query, his PPW work was done in one large-ish contribution and was fairly complete without
much iteration. Note that the Berkeley UPC plugin contribution was to CDT not PTP but it is important for PTP UPC users.
Max has also made other contributions via suggestions (mailing list, emails, and monthly PTP status calls) that aren't documented well in bugzilla bugs.
Max has been very deliberate, careful, and complete in his contributions and would be a valuable asset to the PTP community.
His work on PPW is also being used by the X10 community as part of X10DT, as is the PTP debugger.

IDSummary
301998Berkeley UPC plugin contribution
314948Updates to Berkeley UPC plugin
301429PPW Plugin Contribution
315672NPE when trying to create Profile Configuration
312690Patch(es) to remove dependency on PPW Jars

tools.ptp Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Beth Tibbitts has
nominated Max Billingsley III as a Committer on the tools.ptp project. The
reason given is as follows:

Max has contributed the PPW plugins for PGAS performance analysis to PTP.
He has been supportive of the UPC features in both CDT and PTP,
contributing to both projects for UPC-related features. Max has also
assisted us in PTP tutorials and made construction suggestions regarding
ETFw for integrating the PPW tools.  Max continues to work on UPC-related
tools and would be a valuable addition to the PTP committers.

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded.  The voting will continue
until either all 13 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Max Billingsley III must receive at least three +1s and no -1s
for a successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

http://portal.eclipse.org/

The project Committers eligible to vote are:

  Tu Hong Jun (Catherine)
  Jie Jiang
  Vivian Kong
  Dieter Krachtus
  Mike Kucera
  Chris Recoskie
  Randy Roberts
  Albert L. Rossi
  Roland Schulz
  Wyatt Spear
  Beth Tibbitts
  Greg Watson
  David Wootton

*NOTE*: Successful elections are left open for a maximum of 60 days to
allow for processing of paperwork.  After that time the election will be
expired, regardless of its current status.  Should papework processing on
the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your project
lead, PMC member, or the EMO <emo@xxxxxxxxxxx>
