testing again this morning, trying to clear up / simplify update procedure:
I installed:
Eclipse classic SR0
install, all from helios update site (uncheck 'show latest only' to see these), the following:
cdt 7.0.0 "C/C++ dev tools" only
ptp end-user runtime 4.0.0
rdt 4.0.0
ptp rdt rt support 4.0.0
---- so this is what I assume a typical user might have installed before sr1 came out ----
restart
check for updates
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed: PTP Remote Development Tools (RDT) 4.0.3.201009162109 (org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.feature.group 4.0.3.201009162109)
Software currently installed: PTP RDT Remote Tools Support 4.0.0.201006142322 (org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.remotetools.feature.group 4.0.0.201006142322)
Only one of the following can be installed at once:
RDT Remote Tools DStore Server 1.0.0.201009162109 (org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.server.dstore 1.0.0.201009162109)

It looks like parts of ptp/rdt are wanting specific versions of remote tools DStore server.
While it's confusing to me, it doesn't necessarily look like it's because of our inclusion of RDT Remote Tools Support in the big RDT feature
