Re: [ptp-dev] Recent RDT commits

Hi Vivian,

Not sure which bug, but the commits were made yesterday. The packages are called ...blah.internal.blah, but they are exported from the org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.ui plugin. Exporting them makes them API regardless of what they are called.

Please enable API tooling and you will see the problem.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

Are you talking about the fix for Bug 321353 ?

I thought John's fix would be ok to check into ptp_4_0 since new APIs are in the internal packages and changes in the public packages are not externally visible.

Hi,

Some recent commits to RDT plugins in the ptp_4_0 branch have introduced new API's, thereby requiring a minor version increment. Not only would a 4.1 release require a release review, but I'm not sure if it's possible to include this in SR1. If you need an exception from the version numbering rules, then it needs to be raised on the mailing list for discussion.

Thanks,
