[ptp-dev] Debug Tab behavior

In testing the PBS RM I noticed something about the Debug configuration tab, and was wondering if this is a bug.
In configuring a submission, I first select the rm (remote in this case); then do the application. I choose the project (it gives me the local workspace projects), select a local file and fill in remote location to copy it to for the actual application (it seems the browse there gets automatically keyed to the user's remote home, which doesn't make too much sense if you check the "copy" button, but that's not really important here). However, the debug tab will only allow me to explore the same remote dir for an sdm location, and if the application doesn't already exist there, it continues to give me an "invalid path" error, blocking my ability to run the submission. On the other hand, once the debugger is selected from the drop-down list (SDM the only choice), there is no way to unselect it.
