[ptp-dev] Vote for Committer status for Roland Schulz has started

Committers,

This is supposed to be an automatically generated message, but the portal is currently broken for PTP. In any case, it signals that Greg Watson has nominated Roland Schulz as a Committer on the tools.ptp project. The reason given is as follows:

Roland has made a solid contribution to PTP, including providing fixes to the Remote Tools support that is going to become very important in the next release, and is currently working on development of a resource manager for PBS. Roland has also been participating in meetings to address scalability issues in PTP and will be working on other aspects of scalability in the future. Some other contributions are in these bugzillas:

173142	Multiple parallel run arguments are passed as one
280338	Struct expand segmentation fault
281826	OpenMPI without hostfile change
292485	Searching for Binaries copies all

294754	PTP related scaling information
301298	Scalability improvements for the proxy protocol
303271	SDM crashes when suspending group and some ranks are at breakpoint
173628	Parallel application writing to stdout can hang PTP

303384	Model changes required to address scalability
300889	Using sftp instead of ssh exec of cat to transfer files

Since the portal is broken, please vote +1, 0, or -1 by REPLYING to this email. The voting will continue until either all 9 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least one week). Roland must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a successful election.

The project Committers eligible to vote are:

  Vivian Kong
  Mike Kucera
  Craig Rasmussen
  Chris Recoskie
  Randy Roberts
  Wyatt Spear
  Beth Tibbitts
  Greg Watson
  David Wootton

*NOTE*: Successful elections are left open for a maximum of 60 days to allow for processing of paperwork. After that time the election will be expired, regardless of its current status. Should papework processing on the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will have to be held.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your project lead, PMC member, or the EMO <emo@xxxxxxxxxxx>
