[ptp-dev] Remote Tools Question

Hi,

I've been looking into some performance issues with the Remote Tools  
implementation in PTP. One thing I've noticed is that the  
implementation uses relatively expensive shell operations to do things  
like remove a file/directory, move a file, etc., rather than use sftp  
operations to do the same things. Was there any reason for this?
