Re: [ptp-dev] Minor comment on Remote C project wizard

Actually that part of the wizard comes from the Eclipse platform, which we in turn inherit from CDT.

There are a lot of usability issues with the wizard that stem from the fact that we're reusing CDT's (we had to for sake of expediency and to make sure that we didn't get out of sync with changes to the CDT build system). I think I'm going to be spending some time overhauling what's in CDT for Galileo so that our wizard isn't stuck with all the problems we have now.

[ptp-dev] Minor comment on Remote C project wizard

I noticed one thing that feels 'backward' to me in the remote project wizard. If I uncheck the use default location checkbox then set up the project path, my first inclination is to click the browse button to pick the path. When I do that, I get the local system directory and realize that I need to pick a different file system so I cancel the directory selector, pick the file system then go back to the browse button. I tend to work with dialog boxes top to bottom and left to right, so the layout here just seems backwards.

Does anybody else think the same way or is it just me?

Dave
