Re: [ptp-dev] Build script error

I have updated the tar/zip files available from the downloads page. Somehow the old packages were used when I created them.

OK, I have updated the downloads page as well as the release notes giving the alternative of the local update site via the downloadable archive.

Oh I see. I hadn't even thought of visiting the wiki. I saw the link to 'builds' on the front page but I went directly to http://www.eclipse.org/ptp/downloads.php
All of the links there, so far as I can tell, lead to the older version and, indeed, a version that is apparently broken. It might be a good idea to redirect the downloads link...

Working single-download version is on the 'builds' page on the wiki at http://wiki.eclipse.org/PTP/builds/2.0

Tell me where you couldn't find the links and i'll add links to this there

All the download links I can find on the web site lead to version 2.0.1.200711060847. I assume the update-site has the correct version, but it would be very helpful for my purposes to have a working drag-and-drop installation solution for the PTP. If I'm just missing the proper links, or if there is a mirror you know if that has the newest release in tar/zip packages, please let me know.

        Wyatt,

Make sure there is only one version of PTP installed (i.e. remove any older versions). Check that you have version 2.0.1.200804292220.

                Greetings,

I'm trying to build the build the proxy agents for linux x86 using the latest release from the ptp web site on a pretty standard system where previous builds have worked correctly. My environment is set up properly as far as I can tell. However when I run sh BUILD I end up witht:

                Building org.eclipse.ptp.debug.sdm_2.0.1.200711060847...
                checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
                checking for gawk... no
                checking for mawk... mawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
                checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
configure: error: utils directory not found

                Building org.eclipse.ptp.rm.orte.proxy_2.0.1.200711060847...
                checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
                checking for gawk... no
                checking for mawk... mawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
                checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
configure: error: utils directory not found

There is indeed an org.eclipse.ptp.utils* directory. This error has occurred on two distinct systems. I most recently tried it with a fresh ptp download this evening, but with the same result. How should I proceed?

                Thanks,
