I'm a big fan of Antoine and am confident that he'll be a good addition to the project team. However, the merit statement on this nomination lacks any specific examples of any existing contribution to the project. In short, there's no transparent record that indicates to the community why he should be part of the project team. "He will be helpful", "he's going to do some work", or "I know that he's a smart guy" aren't merit statements.
As I understand it, Antoine is building a website for the project. I propose that this will be a significant contribution that we can cite as the merit for having Antoine join the project.
With that in mind, I recommend that you reject this vote and invite Antoine to contribute the first pass at the web site to the project team via a Bug report or something. With that in place, we'll have something transparent that we can point to as a real contribution that demonstrates that he's a good and valuable asset to the project. Once this is in place, the project team can nominate him again.
