Re: [platform-swt-dev] Password Text

Hey, guys, I
get it.
I am a hardcore tools and systems developer. The
re-introduction
of Conga was to satisfy a huge shortfall in the development space. Namely
that Java on the desktop was a disaster. I have a lot of interest in Java
fending off MS Net so that there remains a competitive market. I
support
SWT.
I assure you I am not getting wealthy doing my part to keep Java in the game
on the desktop. There is a huge opportunity for cross-fertilization of SWT
with other technologies and, clearly, SWT has a lot of technical development
to get under its belt to move mainstream, beyond the able minds of a small,
vocal cadre of Java devotees.

I'm used to this newsgroup receiving a lot of activity on a myriad of
topics, but I don't see how another advertisment for 'Conga' helps promote
the development of SWT. I think it is safe to say that by now everyone on
this list has the link to Conga should they be interested in finding out
more.
