I am able to mount the image and use it on MacOS Catalina(10.15.7)

 

Can you verify the checksum of the dmg file? You can get the checksum from https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20201016-0000/checksum/eclipse-SDK-I20201016-0000-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.dmg.sha512. Save sha512 file to the same location as the dmg and use the this command

 

    sha512sum -c eclipse-SDK-I20201016-0000-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.dmg.sha512

 

if the download is good this should return

  eclipse-SDK-I20201016-0000-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.dmg: OK

 

Else

   eclipse-SDK-I20201016-0000-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.dmg: FAILED

Mac dmg for this build throws  "Image not recognised error" and does not proceed.

Tracking bug is  Bug 567918
