Hi,
After discussion with Alex we are able to confirm the issue is from Tycho (Bug 387701 - Don't generate dependency to a.jre.javase/x.y.z (currently 9.0.0) from products published by Tycho). I have made necessary changes in the repository manually for RC2. But this is a temporary fix. We need to get better fix from tycho by RC3.
I will be promoting the build shortly
Thanks and Regards,

Subject: Re: [platform-releng-dev] Delay in Eclipse platform 4.8 RC2
This problem is introduced between I20180521-2000 and I20180522-0800. The commit log is attached. I don’t see any problematic commit here. Another change I noticed is Tycho change. There are 2 snapshot versions released during that period.
Here is the log I am seeing https://ci.eclipse.org/simrel/job/simrel.photon.runaggregator.VALIDATE.gerrit/353/console Need help from Tycho team
Alex Can you have a look and let us know what needs to done from platform side
Thanks and Regards,
Sravan

Hi,
I encountered a problem with our simrel contributions. I am getting the following error
06:02:44 [exec] InstallableUnit(config.a.jre.javase [9.0.0,9.0.0]) is required by:
06:02:44 [exec] ValidationSet(main)
06:02:44 [exec] Contribution(Eclipse)
06:02:44 [exec] MappedRepository(file:///home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.8milestones/S-4.8RC2-201805240900/)
06:02:44 [exec] Product(org.eclipse.platform.ide)
The above problem needs to fixed before I can make RC2 available. Right now I don’t have any more information. I am trying to get when this was introduced. I will update when I have more details
Thanks and Regards,
