Something went wrong with the 3.8 build "bootstrap" this morning at 10, tracked in bug 378004 [1]
so I'm going to make some changes to the "boot strap" files to avoid that (in future) and reschedule the 3.8 I build for noon.

I will also "completely clean" the 3.8 I build working area. I had done that for the 4.2 build, last night, but forgot to do it for the 3.8 area (gee ... starting to forget about 3.8 already ... :)
