It seems that the case where the bug occurs is the following:

1) You are using the new search (off by default)
2) You are using multiple workbench windows.

The workaround is to either

1) only work with one workbench window
2) go back to the old search (i.e. switch off new search in the preferences, close all new search views and restart the workbench).

While the bug is serious, we have a workaround and the new search feature is not on by default, so ZRH is NOT requesting a rebuild.

We just observed a bad bug which ends up opening error dialogs
indefinitly...
