I'm trying with Manjaro GNOME in VirtualBox. If running in an Wayland environment (in /etc/gdm/custom.conf the line "WaylandEnable=false" needs to be removed/commented), the environment variable WAYLAND_DISPLAY is set and XDG_SESSION_TYPE is set to "wayland".

I'm not 100% sure whether setting XDG_SESSION_TYPE to "x11" will actually force SWT to use X11. Could some Linux expert please confirm/correct?
